Rachel Wilson, Head of Assessment Standards & Operations

Rachel has worked in education for 18 years and has a wide range of experience in assessment.

Up until 2011 she worked as a Design and Technology teacher and Head of Department in a range of secondary schools. During this time in teaching her interest and work in assessment began, taking on a range of assessment specialist roles for UK awarding bodies in the general qualification’s sector.

In 2012 she moved permanently into a role with Cambridge Assessment’s UK Awarding Body OCR, as a Senior Manager in Assessment Standards; responsible for setting, maintaining and assuring standards for a range of general and vocational qualifications throughout the assessment and product lifecycle from qualification design through to withdrawal.

Rachel moved to The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply in 2017, where she is currently Head of Assessment Standards and Operations. She is responsible for directing, shaping and leading operational delivery and standards for CIPS assessments for their global regulated qualifications and certification programmes, a key part of this role currently is leading on CIPS transformation programme for e-assessment.
